USCC Event to Assist Private Sector in Hiring Transitioning Vets

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s National Chamber Foundation will host the second-annual Business Steps Up: Hiring our Heroes event on Nov. 12 at the Chamber of Commerce’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. The event aims to assist private-sector firms in employing uniformed service members who are transitioning out of the military.

Featuring keynote speakers Eric K. Shineski, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and Hilda L. Solis, Secretary of the Department of Labor, the half-day program will address employment challenges identified during last year’s summit and highlight how industry members can assist veterans in finding employment and readjusting to their communities.
