- If you missed this week’s post with photos of last week’s SAME/U.S. Air Force Academy Engineering & Construction Camp, click here to check it out. The U.S. Navy Seabees camp, the final of three summer camps held each summer by SAME, will be held July 20-25 in Port Hueneme, Calif. Photos of the Seabees camp will be available on this blog immediately following its conclusion, but look out for a full recap of all three camps in the September-October issue of The Military Engineer.
- Online pre-registration is now closed for the upcoming U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Infrastructure Systems Conferece (ISC), but on-site registration will be available for those who still wish to attend. The event, which includes more than 20 technical tracks and numerous plenary sessions relating to work within USACE, will be held July 20-24 in Cleveland, Ohio. For a full conference agenda and hotel information, click here.
- The SAME editorial staff will be accepting proposals for the November-December issue of The Military Engineer through July 31. The issue’s main themes are Design & Construction and Master Planning. If you are interested in authoring an article on either of these topics, contact me, Jack Nank, at jnank@same.org. For more information on the themes to be covered in the upcoming November-December issue, view the editorial calendar here.
- If you have any interest at all in the construction industry, I suggest you check out BuildingProductMarketing.com, a blog launched in May and operated by occasional TME contributor and SAME Sustaining Member Company Chusid Associates.
