DOD Announces Recovery Act Construction Projects
The Department of Defense announced late last week details of the construction and repair projects to be funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, signed last month by President Obama. Projects approaching $6 billion in total value are planned for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico. The two largest DOD projects to be constructed under the Act will be new hospitals at Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Fort Hood, Texas.
