Join the SAME Group on LinkedIn!

For nearly a year, Ben Matthews, Assistant Program Manager at Jacobs Engineering and SAME College Outreach Chair, has been maintaining an SAME Group on the professional networking Web site LinkedIn.com. LinkedIn allows users to create profiles containing current and previous work experience, areas of expertise, recommendations from colleagues and contact information.

More importantly, LinkedIn enables users to connect with individuals and companies in their fields and leverage these connections for opportunities for new business, new professional experience and even more connections.

LinkedIn recently enhanced its Group feature. The SAME Group now includes discussion boards on which members can post questions, thoughts or ideas and follow the feedback provided by fellow members. Additionally, users can now recommended news articles that might be of interest to other group members.

To join the LinkedIn SAME Group, log in to your LinkedIn profile and search for the group “Society of American Military Engineers.” To join the group, you will need to provide your SAME member number.
